| Happy New Year ! Thank you for always your favoring to Maruzen and our products. In last year, the big earthquake and tsunami attacked Japan and the accident of nuclear atomic plant happened. At that time, we got many warm / encouraging messages to us from many our foreign customers and would like to extend our thanks to you all again now. Fortunately, we were not got any damages directly by the disaster and could continue our business with the support of our subcontractors/ customers. Seeing the foreign markets, the business circumstance is in a very hard situation now by the economic crisis of EU started from Greece, adjourning of Chinese economic growth in last year and extreme rising up of exchange rate of Japanese Yen. Especially, the extreme rising up of Japanese Yen is supposed to continue for coming 2-3 years. However, in spite of this bad business situation, we will try the following 3 points mainly in 2012: 1)Reconstruction assistance for the area of distress in Japan 2)The development of new products as a countermeasure for the extreme rising up of Japanese Yen 3)The development of most suitable new products customers / markets need( custom-build products ) Exchanging the correspondences with our customers more frequently and taking what you require into consideration, we will try to develop and supply useful products our customers actually need and expect.
