FLASHBACK OF MARUZEN'S 50 YEARS HISTORY
|
| The founder of Maruzen, Mr. Isaku Suwabe, established a parts processing
factory i n Tokyo in 1935. |
|
| In 1943 |
Following by the air attackes in Tokyo during World War II, Mr. Isaku Suwabe returned to his home town in Mishima-shi, Shizuoka-ken and established MISHIMA AIRCRAFT LTD. which manufactured parts of aircraft engines. |
| In 1950 |
Established of MISHIMA MOTOR CO., LTD. and started producing motocycles (MISHIMA GOH). MISHIMA MOTOR CO., LTD. was the top manufacturer for motocycles with the annual production quantity
exceeded 10,000. |

| In 1954 |
As we foresaw the increased demand of the construction machinery for post
war rebuild, we signed the agreement with a firm in England and started
supplying engine rock drills for them since same year February.
The establishment of MARUZEN KOGYO CO., LTD. on November 11 at the same year. |

During the same period, we also producing bulldozers. |

| In 1965 |
For diversifying our bussiness range, we started manufacturing Automobile
Testing Facilities for ANZEN MOTOR CAR CO.,LTD. |
|

| In 1967 |
The completion of our new factory (Our current head office) in Mishima
Industrial Park.
At the same year, we formed our second bussiness plan as to export our
rock drills to overseas. We started from exporting to South Korea. |

| In 1970 |
Following our third bussiness diversification plan, we started manufacturing
Automatic Strapping Machines and supplying to NICHIRO KOGYO CO., LTD.
We later on developed a Semi-Automatic Strapping Machine and OEM to NICHIRO KOGYO CO., LTD.
This Semi-Automatic Strapping Machine had later become a very popular product
in the market. Following the success of this Semi-Automatic Strapping Machine,
NICHIRO KOGYO CO., LTD has become the top manufacturer for Strapping Machines. |

| In 1973 |
We started selling and distributing Earth Drills (from Little Beaver, USA) in Japan.
Since then, we are more active in communicating with overseas companies. |

The 20th Anniversary. |

| In 1976 |
Mutual collaboration agreement with world famouse manufacturer, WACKER in West Germany. Incorporating a joint venture and established WACKER MARUZEN CO., LTD. |

We exported to more than 50 countries in the world. |

We foresaw the trend of hydraulic construction machinery, we developed
new handhled hydraulic breakers. |

Estabblished Industrial Machinery Department.
Besides construction machinery, we started focusing on manufacturing automobile
breaking Inspection failities and Speed Meter Inspection Facilities. And
we supply these facilities to private and public automobile safety Inspection
Centers in Japan and overseas. |

We also manufacture wheel chair lift for escalators, elevator devise for
high raise buildings (The latest projects we did was for ROPPONGI HILLS),
consecutive auto feed revit machines and engin carbon remover (Carbon Blaster,
etc) |

Release of Hydraulic Pile Drivers, Soil Sampling Pipes and Pile/Pipe/Post
Pullers. |

Release of low noise hydraulic power unit.
Release of low oil flow hyraulic power unit
Release of hydraulic chipping hammers. |

| In 2002 |
Our major products are equipments powered by hydraulic, such as handheld
breakers, rig mounted breakers, handheld rock drills, pile drivers, concrete
cutters, pumps and etc. Among them, handhled breakers are with more than
90% market share in Japan. At the same year, we also released electrical
mini crane and petrol engin rock drills. |

from now on, we will continue standing firm with what we believe: to provide
innovitated, best quality products to meet all of our clients needs for
both construction machinery and industrial machinery. |
